IKEM – Institute for Climate Protection, Energy and Mobility (Institut für Klimaschutz, Energie und Mobilität)

The Institute for Climate Protection, Energy and Mobility e.V. (IKEM) is an independent institute associated to the University of Greifswald. The institute specializes in the interdisciplinary analysis of the legal, economic and policy questions surrounding the energy transition. Its clients include the programs of the European Union, German federal and regional ministries, global foundations, international organizations, grid operators and industry. IKEM is well represented and connected in the international sustainability field.

IKEM brings together more than 40 researchers from various academic disciplines and all regions of the world, regularly publishing studies, statements or journal articles based on the completed research. Since 2017, IKEM has been a recognized non-governmental organization at the United Nations. Our aim is to support climate protection efforts worldwide.

The Faculty of Science Department of Demography and Geodemography at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic, is a unique workplace with an accredited study program for all stages of the University education.

The Faculty of Science Department of Demography and Geodemography at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic, is a unique workplace with an accredited study program for all stages of the University education. Our Department has been offering Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral study programs to our students since the academic year 1990/1991.

The Bachelor’s program focuses on the study of demography in a combination with social geography, sociology, or economics. The Master’s program further explores various demography topics while being open to students from other University branches. This approach promotes diversity and fosters different ideas and approaches to solving problems. Our Doctoral students apply what they learned in previous years in their own research projects and learn how to utilize resources available for completing a successful dissertation.

The Department conducts the largest volume of demographic research in the Czech Republic. Members of the Department pursue scientific work and research on an international level and attend scientific conferences and symposia on a regular basis. The actual research is mainly focused on the changes in the population development in the Czech Republic after 1989.

AdMaS (Advanced Materials, Structures and Technologies) is a modern science center and comprehensive civil engineering research institution. It is part of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Brno University of Technology. We focus on research and development in the area of advanced construction materials, structures and technologies, and their real-world application in not only the construction industry, but also transportation systems and the infrastructures of cities and municipalities. We also provide for the needs of investors comprehensive feasibility studies and assessment of the technical aspect and economic efficiency of construction investment.
